I am a physiotherapist in Scarborough. Most of my work is helping people do one more rep than they did last week, and most of what I know about change I learned from watching them. My parents came to Toronto from Ahmedabad in 1994 with two suitcases and a pressure cooker, and they never once talked about motivation. They talked about showing up. Small Wins, Long Winters is the book I wish someone had handed me during my first Canadian winter as a student, when I stopped doing almost everything. It is short on purpose.
