Yes. Reading happens in your browser, on any device. There's nothing to download or install.
Yes, for now. Pages load as you read, so you'll need a connection. There's no offline mode or downloadable file yet.
We have no plans to, but we're honest that a protected, in-browser book only exists on our servers: there's no downloadable file you keep independently of the service, the way you would with an EPUB or PDF.
Authors keep 70% of every sale. Full details on the payout schedule, minimum, and method are in our Terms, section 7.
Sign in at the author sign-in page, it's free, no credit card required. Signing in creates your author account and dashboard, but it doesn't publish anything by itself: getting your manuscript onto the platform is a separate, one-time onboarding step. E-mail authors@smithbook.com with your manuscript after you sign in and our team will set it up for you to publish from your dashboard.
