I taught middle-school choir in DeKalb County for nine years, and I still hum when I write. My books are set in the Atlanta I grew up in: Sunday dinners that run long, porches where people say the true thing after dark, and neighbors who know your business before you do. I write slow-burn romance about grown people with jobs, bills and family opinions. Nobody in my books falls for a stranger at an airport. They fall for the person who shows up with a casserole and a ladder. I live in East Point with my husband, my mother-in-law and a very loud beagle named Deacon.
